Chapter 11: Vishvarupa Darshana Yoga
The Universal Form
Arjuna asks to see the universal form, and Krishna grants him divine eyes to bear it. What follows is the Gita's most overwhelming passage: countless mouths and eyes, worlds without end, all beings rushing into blazing jaws as moths fly into flame. Krishna declares Himself Time, the destroyer of worlds. Arjuna, terrified, praises Him and then asks forgiveness for every casual word spoken to Him as a friend, begging for the gentle four-armed form he knows and loves.

Verse 11.1
अर्जुन उवाच । मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसंज्ञितम् । यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम ॥
arjuna uvāca. madanugrahāya paramaṁ guhyam adhyātmasaṁjñitam, yat tvayoktaṁ vacas tena moho'yaṁ vigato mama.
Arjuna said: By the profound, secret teaching on the self that You have spoken out of grace for me, my delusion has now been dispelled.
Life lesson: Notice today how much clearer things feel after someone who cares for you offers honest guidance.

भवाप्ययौ हि भूतानां श्रुतौ विस्तरशो मया । त्वत्तः कमलपत्राक्ष माहात्म्यमपि चाव्ययम् ॥
bhavāpyayau hi bhūtānāṁ śrutau vistaraśo mayā, tvattaḥ kamalapatrākṣa māhātmyam api cāvyayam.
O lotus-eyed one, I have heard in detail from You of the arising and passing away of beings, and also of Your imperishable glory.
Life lesson: Take in both the practical lesson and its deeper meaning today, not just one or the other.

O Supreme Lord, it is exactly as You have described Yourself; O Supreme Person, I wish to see Your divine, majestic form.
Life lesson: Let today's belief grow into a genuine longing to experience truth directly, not just accept it intellectually.

manyase yadi tac chakyaṁ mayā draṣṭum iti prabho, yogeśvara tato me tvaṁ darśayātmānam avyayam.
If You think it is possible for me to see it, O Lord, then, O Master of Yoga, show me Your imperishable Self.
Life lesson: Ask humbly today for what you truly want to understand, rather than demanding it.

The Blessed Lord said: Behold, O Partha, My forms — hundreds and thousands of them, of many kinds, divine, of many colors and shapes.
Life lesson: Stay open today to the idea that truth might be bigger and stranger than the one neat picture you're holding onto.

paśyādityān vasūn rudrān aśvinau marutas tathā, bahūny adṛṣṭapūrvāṇi paśyāścaryāṇi bhārata.
Behold the Adityas, the Vasus, the Rudras, the two Ashvins, and the Maruts; O Bharata, behold many wonders never seen before.
Life lesson: Stay open today to seeing wonder in things that go beyond what you're used to noticing.

ihaikasthaṁ jagatkṛtsnaṁ paśyādya sacarācaram, mama dehe guḍākeśa yac cānyad draṣṭum icchasi.
O Gudakesha, behold today the entire universe, moving and unmoving, standing here united in My body, along with whatever else you wish to see.
Life lesson: Try seeing today's scattered events as part of one connected, meaningful whole.

na tu māṁ śakyase draṣṭum anenaiva sva-cakṣuṣā divyaṁ dadāmi te cakṣuḥ paśya me yogam aiśvaram
But you cannot see Me with these physical eyes of yours. I give you a divine eye; behold My majestic, divine power.
Life lesson: If something today feels impossible to fully grasp, ask for a deeper way of seeing rather than just trying harder.

Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus, O King, Hari, the great Lord of Yoga, then revealed to Partha His supreme, majestic form.
Life lesson: Notice today when words give way to a deeper, direct experience—let yourself simply witness it.

अनेकवक्त्रनयनमनेकाद्भुतदर्शनम् । अनेकदिव्याभरणं दिव्यानेकोद्यतायुधम् ॥

With many mouths and eyes, with many wondrous sights, adorned with many divine ornaments, and wielding many divine weapons raised on high.
Life lesson: Allow today's understanding of the divine to be bigger than any single image you've held onto.

divyamālyāmbaradharaṁ divyagandhānulepanam, sarvāścaryamayaṁ devam anantaṁ viśvatomukham.
Wearing divine garlands and garments, anointed with divine fragrances, the wholly wondrous, infinite God, facing every direction.
Life lesson: Notice the small, beautiful details in today's larger experiences, not just the overwhelming whole.

divi sūrya-sahasrasya bhaved yugapad utthitā yadi bhāḥ sadṛśī sā syād bhāsas tasya mahātmanaḥ
If a thousand suns were to rise together in the sky, their light might resemble the splendor of that great cosmic form.
Life lesson: Let yourself feel a moment of genuine awe today at something vast — it's good for the soul to feel small before something great.

tatraikasthaṁ jagatkṛtsnaṁ pravibhaktam anekadhā, apaśyad devadevasya śarīre pāṇḍavas tadā.
There, the son of Pandu then saw the entire universe, divided into its many forms, all standing united in the body of the God of gods.
Life lesson: Look for the underlying unity behind today's many differences and divisions.

tataḥ sa vismayāviṣṭo hṛṣṭaromā dhanañjayaḥ, praṇamya śirasā devaṁ kṛtāñjalir abhāṣata.
Then Dhananjaya, overwhelmed with wonder, his hair standing on end, bowed his head to the Lord and spoke with joined palms.
Life lesson: When something today truly awes you, allow yourself a moment of humble wonder before responding.

arjuna uvāca paśyāmi devāṁs tava deva dehe sarvāṁs tathā bhūta-viśeṣa-saṅghān brahmāṇam īśaṁ kamalāsana-stham ṛṣīṁś ca sarvān uragāṁś ca divyān
Arjuna said: O Lord, I see all the gods within Your body, along with hosts of different beings. I see Brahma seated on the lotus, along with all the sages and divine serpents.
Life lesson: If a moment of clarity today feels overwhelming rather than simple, trust that you're seeing something truly vast and real.

अनेकबाहूदरवक्त्रनेत्रं पश्यामि त्वां सर्वतोऽनन्तरूपम् । नान्तं न मध्यं न पुनस्तवादिं पश्यामि विश्वेश्वर विश्वरूप ॥
anekabāhūdaravaktranetraṁ paśyāmi tvāṁ sarvato'nantarūpam, nāntaṁ na madhyaṁ na punas tavādiṁ paśyāmi viśveśvara viśvarūpa.
I see You with countless arms, bellies, mouths, and eyes, infinite in form on every side; O Lord of the universe, O universal form, I see no end, no middle, and no beginning of You.
Life lesson: Let go today of needing to see the whole picture at once—some truths reveal themselves slowly, without edges.

किरीटिनं गदिनं चक्रिणं च तेजोराशिं सर्वतोदीप्तिमन्तम् । पश्यामि त्वां दुर्निरीक्ष्यं समन्ताद्दीप्तानलार्कद्युतिमप्रमेयम् ॥
kirīṭinaṁ gadinaṁ cakriṇaṁ ca tejorāśiṁ sarvatodīptimantam, paśyāmi tvāṁ durnirīkṣyaṁ samantād dīptānalārkadyutim aprameyam.
I see You wearing a crown, wielding a mace and discus, a mass of radiance blazing on every side, hard to gaze upon, immeasurable, glowing like a blazing fire or the sun.
Life lesson: If a truth today feels overwhelming, it's okay to take it in gradually rather than all at once.

tvam akṣaraṁ paramaṁ veditavyaṁ tvam asya viśvasya paraṁ nidhānam, tvam avyayaḥ śāśvatadharmagoptā sanātanas tvaṁ puruṣo mato me.
You are the supreme imperishable, the object to be known; You are the ultimate resting place of this universe; You are the imperishable guardian of eternal righteousness; I consider You the eternal Person.
Life lesson: Trust today that what's genuinely right is quietly protected by something larger and more lasting than circumstance.

अनादिमध्यान्तमनन्तवीर्यमनन्तबाहुं शशिसूर्यनेत्रम् । पश्यामि त्वां दीप्तहुताशवक्त्रं स्वतेजसा विश्वमिदं तपन्तम् ॥
anādimadhyāntam anantavīryam anantabāhuṁ śaśisūryanetram, paśyāmi tvāṁ dīptahutāśavaktraṁ svatejasā viśvam idaṁ tapantam.
I see You without beginning, middle, or end, of infinite power, with countless arms, the moon and sun as Your eyes, Your mouth a blazing fire, scorching this whole universe with Your own radiance.
Life lesson: Recognize today that the same force that sustains you can also feel intense when fully faced—both are true.

द्यावापृथिव्योरिदमन्तरं हि व्याप्तं त्वयैकेन दिशश्च सर्वाः । दृष्ट्वाऽद्भुतं रूपमुग्रं तवेदं लोकत्रयं प्रव्यथितं महात्मन् ॥
dyāvāpṛthivyor idam antaraṁ hi vyāptaṁ tvayaikena diśaś ca sarvāḥ, dṛṣṭvādbhutaṁ rūpam ugraṁ tavedaṁ lokatrayaṁ pravyathitaṁ mahātman.
O great one, this space between heaven and earth, and all directions, are pervaded by You alone; seeing this wondrous, terrible form of Yours, the three worlds tremble.
Life lesson: It's okay for something profound today to feel both wonderful and unsettling at once.

अमी हि त्वां सुरसङ्घाः विशन्ति केचिद्भीताः प्राञ्जलयो गृणन्ति । स्वस्तीत्युक्त्वा महर्षिसिद्धसङ्घाः स्तुवन्ति त्वां स्तुतिभिः पुष्कलाभिः ॥
amī hi tvāṁ surasaṅghāḥ viśanti kecid bhītāḥ prāñjalayo gṛṇanti, svastīty uktvā maharṣisiddhasaṅghāḥ stuvanti tvāṁ stutibhiḥ puṣkalābhiḥ.
These hosts of gods enter into You; some, afraid, praise You with joined palms; hosts of great sages and perfected beings, saying "May there be peace," glorify You with abundant hymns.
Life lesson: Let yourself offer sincere reverence today, without feeling it's beneath you to be humbled.

रुद्रादित्या वसवो ये च साध्या विश्वेऽश्विनौ मरुतश्चोष्मपाश्च । गन्धर्वयक्षासुरसिद्धसङ्घा वीक्षन्ते त्वां विस्मिताश्चैव सर्वे ॥
rudrādityā vasavo ye ca sādhyā viśve'śvinau marutaś coṣmapāś ca, gandharvayakṣāsurasiddhasaṅghā vīkṣante tvāṁ vismitāś caiva sarve.
The Rudras, Adityas, Vasus, Sadhyas, Vishvedevas, the two Ashvins, the Maruts, and the ancestors, along with the hosts of Gandharvas, Yakshas, Asuras, and Siddhas—all gaze at You in amazement.
Life lesson: Remember today that wonder is something you share with everyone, however different your paths.

रूपं महत्ते बहुवक्त्रनेत्रं महाबाहो बहुबाहूरुपादम् । बहूदरं बहुदंष्ट्राकरालं दृष्ट्वा लोकाः प्रव्यथितास्तथाऽहम् ॥
rūpaṁ mahat te bahuvaktranetraṁ mahābāho bahubāhūrupādam, bahūdaraṁ bahudaṁṣṭrākarālaṁ dṛṣṭvā lokāḥ pravyathitās tathāham.
O mighty-armed one, seeing Your vast form with many mouths and eyes, many arms, thighs, and feet, many bellies, and many terrible tusks, the worlds tremble, and so do I.
Life lesson: It's okay to admit fear today, even about something you deeply believe in—honesty matters more than composure.

नभःस्पृशं दीप्तमनेकवर्णं व्यात्ताननं दीप्तविशालनेत्रम् । दृष्ट्वा हि त्वां प्रव्यथितान्तरात्मा धृतिं न विन्दामि शमं च विष्णो ॥
nabhaḥspṛśaṁ dīptam anekavarṇaṁ vyāttānanaṁ dīptaviśālanetram, dṛṣṭvā hi tvāṁ pravyathitāntarātmā dhṛtiṁ na vindāmi śamaṁ ca viṣṇo.
O Vishnu, seeing You touching the sky, blazing, many-colored, with gaping mouths and vast glowing eyes, my inner self trembles, and I find neither steadiness nor peace.
Life lesson: If today feels too overwhelming to stay composed, allow yourself that honesty without judgment.

दंष्ट्राकरालानि च ते मुखानि दृष्ट्वैव कालानलसन्निभानि । दिशो न जाने न लभे च शर्म प्रसीद देवेश जगन्निवास ॥
daṁṣṭrākarālāni ca te mukhāni dṛṣṭvaiva kālānalasannibhāni, diśo na jāne na labhe ca śarma prasīda deveśa jagannivāsa.
Seeing Your mouths, terrible with tusks, resembling the fire of dissolution, I lose my sense of direction and find no comfort; be gracious, O Lord of gods, O abode of the universe.
Life lesson: When overwhelmed today, don't hesitate to simply ask for grace and steadiness, plainly and honestly.

अमी च त्वां धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्राः सर्वे सहैवावनिपालसङ्घैः । भीष्मो द्रोणः सूतपुत्रस्तथाऽसौ सहास्मदीयैरपि योधमुख्यैः ॥
amī ca tvāṁ dhṛtarāṣṭrasya putrāḥ sarve sahaivāvanipālasaṅghaiḥ, bhīṣmo droṇaḥ sūtaputras tathāsau sahāsmadīyair api yodhamukhyaiḥ.
All these sons of Dhritarashtra, together with the hosts of kings, and Bhishma, Drona, and Karna too, along with our own chief warriors.
Life lesson: When facing something vast today, it's natural for it to feel most real through the people you love.

वक्त्राणि ते त्वरमाणा विशन्ति दंष्ट्राकरालानि भयानकानि । केचिद्विलग्ना दशनान्तरेषु संदृश्यन्ते चूर्णितैरुत्तमाङ्गैः ॥
vaktrāṇi te tvaramāṇā viśanti daṁṣṭrākarālāni bhayānakāni, kecid vilagnā daśanāntareṣu saṁdṛśyante cūrṇitair uttamāṅgaiḥ.
They rush swiftly into Your fearsome mouths, terrible with tusks; some are seen caught between Your teeth, their heads crushed to powder.
Life lesson: Let today's awareness of life's fragility deepen how fully you show up for the people you love.

यथा नदीनां बहवोऽम्बुवेगाः समुद्रमेवाभिमुखाः द्रवन्ति । तथा तवामी नरलोकवीरा विशन्ति वक्त्राण्यभिविज्वलन्ति ॥
yathā nadīnāṁ bahavo'mbuvegāḥ samudram evābhimukhāḥ dravanti, tathā tavāmī naralokavīrā viśanti vaktrāṇy abhivijvalanti.
As the many rushing waters of rivers flow toward the ocean alone, so do these heroes of the human world rush into Your blazing mouths.
Life lesson: Trust today that, like rivers to the sea, your journey is naturally flowing toward something larger.

यथा प्रदीप्तं ज्वलनं पतङ्गा विशन्ति नाशाय समृद्धवेगाः । तथैव नाशाय विशन्ति लोकास्तवापि वक्त्राणि समृद्धवेगाः ॥
yathā pradīptaṁ jvalanaṁ pataṅgā viśanti nāśāya samṛddhavegāḥ, tathaiva nāśāya viśanti lokās tavāpi vaktrāṇi samṛddhavegāḥ.
As moths rush with great speed into a blazing fire to their own destruction, so too do these worlds rush with great speed into Your mouths, to their own destruction.
Life lesson: Notice today if you're rushing toward something without truly seeing where it leads.

लेलिह्यसे ग्रसमानः समन्ताल्लोकान्समग्रान्वदनैर्ज्वलद्भिः । तेजोभिरापूर्य जगत्समग्रं भासस्तवोग्राः प्रतपन्ति विष्णो ॥
lelihyase grasamānaḥ samantāl lokān samagrān vadanair jvaladbhiḥ, tejobhir āpūrya jagat samagraṁ bhāsas tavogrāḥ pratapanti viṣṇo.
Licking Your lips, You devour all the worlds on every side with Your blazing mouths; filling the entire universe with radiance, Your fierce rays, O Vishnu, scorch it.
Life lesson: Recognize today that a truly powerful force in your life can both consume old patterns and illuminate new ones.

आख्याहि मे को भवानुग्ररूपो नमोऽस्तु ते देववर प्रसीद । विज्ञातुमिच्छामि भवन्तमाद्यं न हि प्रजानामि तव प्रवृत्तिम् ॥
ākhyāhi me ko bhavān ugrarūpo namo'stu te devavara prasīda, vijñātum icchāmi bhavantam ādyaṁ na hi prajānāmi tava pravṛttim.
Tell me who You are in this fierce form; salutations to You, O best of gods, be gracious; I wish to understand You, the primal one, for I do not comprehend Your purpose.
Life lesson: When something today overwhelms you, still hold onto your honest desire to understand it, not just feel it.

I am Time, the great destroyer of worlds.
Life lesson: Seen against the scale of time, today's crisis is smaller than it feels — let that perspective bring you calm, not fear.

tasmāt tvam uttiṣṭha yaśo labhasva jitvā śatrūn bhuṅkṣva rājyaṁ samṛddham mayaivaite nihatāḥ pūrvam eva nimitta-mātraṁ bhava savya-sācin
Therefore, arise and attain glory! Conquer your enemies and enjoy a prosperous kingdom. They are already destroyed by Me; you are merely an instrument, O ambidextrous archer.
Life lesson: Rise and do your part fully today, but remember you're not the sole author of the outcome — just an instrument doing its part.

द्रोणं च भीष्मं च जयद्रथं च कर्णं तथाऽन्यानपि योधवीरान् । मया हतांस्त्वं जहि मा व्यथिष्ठा युध्यस्व जेतासि रणे सपत्नान् ॥
droṇaṁ ca bhīṣmaṁ ca jayadrathaṁ ca karṇaṁ tathānyān api yodhavīrān, mayā hatāṁs tvaṁ jahi mā vyathiṣṭhā yudhyasva jetāsi raṇe sapatnān.
Drona, Bhishma, Jayadratha, Karna, and other brave warriors too—they are already slain by Me; you merely strike them down, do not be troubled; fight, you shall conquer your enemies in battle.
Life lesson: Do your part today without fear, trusting that you don't have to carry every outcome alone.

सञ्जय उवाच । एतच्छ्रुत्वा वचनं केशवस्य कृताञ्जलिर्वेपमानः किरीटी । नमस्कृत्वा भूय एवाह कृष्णं सगद्गदं भीतभीतः प्रणम्य ॥
sañjaya uvāca. etac chrutvā vacanaṁ keśavasya kṛtāñjalir vepamānaḥ kirīṭī, namaskṛtvā bhūya evāha kṛṣṇaṁ sagadgadaṁ bhītabhītaḥ praṇamya.
Sanjaya said: Having heard this speech of Keshava, the crowned Arjuna, trembling, with joined palms, bowed and spoke again to Krishna, in a choked voice, deeply afraid, prostrating himself.
Life lesson: Give yourself today the time you need for fear to settle, even after receiving reassurance.

arjuna uvāca. sthāne hṛṣīkeśa tava prakīrtyā jagat prahṛṣyaty anurajyate ca, rakṣāṁsi bhītāni diśo dravanti sarve namasyanti ca siddhasaṅghāḥ.
Arjuna said: O Hrishikesha, it is fitting that the world rejoices and delights in Your glory; the demons flee in fear in all directions, and all the hosts of perfected beings bow to You.
Life lesson: Trust that something genuinely good today will naturally draw both admiration and resistance—that's expected.

O great one, why should they not bow to You, who are greater even than Brahma, the original creator? O infinite one, Lord of gods, abode of the universe, You are the imperishable, that which is being and non-being, and what is beyond both.
Life lesson: Let your respect for what you're learning deepen today into something more heartfelt, not just intellectual.

You are the primal God, the ancient Person; You are the supreme resting place of this universe; You are the knower, the known, and the supreme abode; O infinite form, by You this universe is pervaded.
Life lesson: Trust today that your own seeking is itself held within the same larger truth you're searching for.

vāyur yamo'gnir varuṇaḥ śaśāṅkaḥ prajāpatis tvaṁ prapitāmahaś ca, namo namas te'stu sahasrakṛtvaḥ punaś ca bhūyo'pi namo namas te.
You are Vayu, Yama, Agni, Varuna, the moon, Prajapati, and the great-grandfather; salutations to You a thousand times, and again and again, salutations to You.
Life lesson: When gratitude wells up in you today, don't be afraid to express it more than once.

Salutations to You from the front and from behind; salutations to You from every side, O You who are all; of infinite power and immeasurable might, You pervade everything, and so You are everything.
Life lesson: Let today's gratitude be complete and wholehearted, not partial or held back.

sakheti matvā prasabhaṁ yad uktaṁ he kṛṣṇa he yādava he sakheti, ajānatā mahimānaṁ tavedaṁ mayā pramādāt praṇayena vāpi.
Whatever I have rashly said, thinking of You as a mere friend, calling out "O Krishna, O Yadava, O friend," not knowing this greatness of Yours, whether out of negligence or affection.
Life lesson: If you realize today you've taken someone's depth for granted, let that gently prompt more gratitude, not guilt.

yac cāvahāsārtham asatkṛto'si vihāraśayyāsanabhojaneṣu, eko'thavāpy acyuta tatsamakṣaṁ tat kṣāmaye tvām aham aprameyam.
And whatever disrespect I may have shown You in jest, during recreation, on the bed, seated, or at meals, whether alone or in front of others, O infallible one, I ask Your forgiveness, for You are immeasurable.
Life lesson: If today you realize you've been too casual with someone you deeply respect, offer a sincere, simple apology.

pitāsi lokasya carācarasya tvam asya pūjyaś ca gurur garīyān, na tvatsamo'sty abhyadhikaḥ kuto'nyo lokatraye'py apratimaprabhāva.
You are the father of this world, moving and unmoving, and its most venerable teacher, worthy of worship; O one of matchless glory, in the three worlds there is none equal to You, how then could there be one greater?
Life lesson: Honor today the teachers in your life whose guidance feels beyond ordinary comparison.

Therefore, bowing down and prostrating my body, I seek Your grace, O adorable Lord; as a father bears with his son, a friend with a friend, a beloved with the beloved, You should bear with me, O God.
Life lesson: Trust today that the people who truly love you will make room for your honest imperfections.

Having seen what I had never seen before, I feel joy, yet my mind trembles with fear. Please show me again Your gentle form, O Lord of lords, abode of the universe.
Life lesson: If something overwhelming today brings both awe and fear, it's fine to ask for a gentler pace — that's wisdom, not weakness.

kirīṭinaṁ gadinaṁ cakrahastam icchāmi tvāṁ draṣṭum ahaṁ tathaiva, tenaiva rūpeṇa caturbhujena sahasrabāho bhava viśvamūrte.
I wish to see You just as before, wearing a crown, holding a mace, with a discus in hand; O thousand-armed one, O universal form, become that same four-armed form again.
Life lesson: After an intense experience today, it's okay to seek the comfort of what feels familiar and gentle.

The Supreme Lord said: By My grace, through My own divine power, O Arjuna, this supreme, radiant, infinite, primal form of Mine has been shown to you, which no one else has ever seen before.
Life lesson: Recognize today's rare, meaningful moments as gifts of grace, not just things you earned.

na vedayajñādhyayanair na dānair na ca kriyābhir na tapobhir ugraiḥ, evaṁrūpaḥ śakya ahaṁ nṛloke draṣṭuṁ tvadanyena kurupravīra.
O best of the Kurus, not through study of the Vedas, sacrifices, charity, rituals, or severe austerities can I be seen in this form by anyone else in the world of men, other than you.
Life lesson: Don't measure today's meaningful moments against a formula—some grace simply can't be earned by rules.

mā te vyathā mā ca vimūḍhabhāvo dṛṣṭvā rūpaṁ ghoram īdṛṅ mamedam, vyapetabhīḥ prītamanāḥ punas tvaṁ tad eva me rūpam idaṁ prapaśya.
Let there be no more distress or bewilderment in you from having seen this terrible form of Mine; free from fear, with a joyful mind, now see again this same familiar form of Mine.
Life lesson: After an intense moment today, allow yourself the comfort of returning to what feels safe and familiar.

sañjaya uvāca ity arjunaṁ vāsudevas tathoktvā svakaṁ rūpaṁ darśayām āsa bhūyaḥ āśvāsayām āsa ca bhītam enaṁ bhūtvā punaḥ saumya-vapur mahātmā
Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus to Arjuna, Vasudeva again showed His own gentle form, and consoled the frightened Arjuna by becoming gentle again.
Life lesson: If a big realization today leaves you shaken, allow yourself to return to something gentle and familiar afterward.

arjuna uvāca. dṛṣṭvedaṁ mānuṣaṁ rūpaṁ tava saumyaṁ janārdana, idānīm asmi saṁvṛttaḥ sacetāḥ prakṛtiṁ gataḥ.
Arjuna said: O Janardana, seeing this gentle, human form of Yours, I have now returned to my normal state, my mind composed once more.
Life lesson: Give yourself permission today to feel relief when you return to calm after something intense.

śrī bhagavān uvāca. sudurdarśam idaṁ rūpaṁ dṛṣṭavān asi yan mama, devā apy asya rūpasya nityaṁ darśanakāṅkṣiṇaḥ.
The Supreme Lord said: This form of Mine that you have seen is extremely difficult to behold; even the gods are ever longing for a vision of this form.
Life lesson: Recognize today's rare blessings as truly special, even ones others might quietly long for.

नाहं वेदैर्न तपसा न दानेन न चेज्यया । शक्य एवंविधो द्रष्टुं दृष्टवानसि मां यथा ॥
nāhaṁ vedair na tapasā na dānena na cejyayā, śakya evaṁvidho draṣṭuṁ dṛṣṭavān asi māṁ yathā.
I cannot be seen in this form, as you have seen Me, through the Vedas, through austerity, through charity, or through ritual worship.
Life lesson: Remember today that some deep experiences come from grace, not from following the right steps alone.

But by unalloyed devotion alone, O Arjuna, can I be known and seen in truth, and entered into, O scorcher of foes.
Life lesson: Approach what matters most to you today with simple, undivided sincerity rather than force or cleverness.

मत्कर्मकृन्मत्परमो मद्भक्तः सङ्गवर्जितः । निर्वैरः सर्वभूतेषु यः स मामेति पाण्डव ॥
mat-karma-kṛn mat-paramo mad-bhaktaḥ saṅga-varjitaḥ nirvairaḥ sarva-bhūteṣu yaḥ sa mām eti pāṇḍava
One who works for Me, regards Me as the supreme goal, is devoted to Me, free from attachment, and without enmity toward any being — such a person attains Me, O Pandava.
Life lesson: Today, hold no enmity toward anyone, work with purpose, and stay a little detached from the outcome — that's a full path in itself.
