Chapter 11 · Vishvarupa Darshana Yoga

Returning to Gentleness · Comfort After Awe

sañjaya uvāca ity arjunaṁ vāsudevas tathoktvā svakaṁ rūpaṁ darśayām āsa bhūyaḥ āśvāsayām āsa ca bhītam enaṁ bhūtvā punaḥ saumya-vapur mahātmā

Meaning

"Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus to Arjuna, Vasudeva again showed His own gentle form, and consoled the frightened Arjuna by becoming gentle again."

Explanation

After the overwhelming vision of the cosmic form, Krishna doesn't leave Arjuna in that terrifying vastness — he returns, gently, to a familiar, comforting shape. Even the most awe-inspiring truths need to come back down to something we can hold close.

Today's Life Lesson

If a big realization today leaves you shaken, allow yourself to return to something gentle and familiar afterward.
