Humble Apology · Closeness Without Losing Respect

यच्चावहासार्थमसत्कृतोऽसि विहारशय्यासनभोजनेषु । एकोऽथवाप्यच्युत तत्समक्षं तत्क्षामये त्वामहमप्रमेयम् ॥

yac cāvahāsārtham asatkṛto'si vihāraśayyāsanabhojaneṣu, eko'thavāpy acyuta tatsamakṣaṁ tat kṣāmaye tvām aham aprameyam.

Meaning

"And whatever disrespect I may have shown You in jest, during recreation, on the bed, seated, or at meals, whether alone or in front of others, O infallible one, I ask Your forgiveness, for You are immeasurable."

Explanation

True closeness with someone great doesn't erase the need for humility—it simply makes honest apology easier to offer.

Today's Life Lesson

If today you realize you've been too casual with someone you deeply respect, offer a sincere, simple apology.
