Longing for the Familiar · Seeking Comfort After Awe

kirīṭinaṁ gadinaṁ cakrahastam icchāmi tvāṁ draṣṭum ahaṁ tathaiva, tenaiva rūpeṇa caturbhujena sahasrabāho bhava viśvamūrte.

Meaning

"I wish to see You just as before, wearing a crown, holding a mace, with a discus in hand; O thousand-armed one, O universal form, become that same four-armed form again."

Explanation

After facing something vast and overwhelming, it's natural to long for the familiar, gentler form of what we love.
