Chapter 11 · Vishvarupa Darshana Yoga

Overwhelming Power · Fierce and Sustaining at Once

अनादिमध्यान्तमनन्तवीर्यमनन्तबाहुं शशिसूर्यनेत्रम् । पश्यामि त्वां दीप्तहुताशवक्त्रं स्वतेजसा विश्वमिदं तपन्तम् ॥

anādimadhyāntam anantavīryam anantabāhuṁ śaśisūryanetram, paśyāmi tvāṁ dīptahutāśavaktraṁ svatejasā viśvam idaṁ tapantam.

Meaning

"I see You without beginning, middle, or end, of infinite power, with countless arms, the moon and sun as Your eyes, Your mouth a blazing fire, scorching this whole universe with Your own radiance."

Explanation

A power vast enough to sustain the universe can also feel intensely fierce when finally seen in full.

Today's Life Lesson

Recognize today that the same force that sustains you can also feel intense when fully faced—both are true.
