Chapter 13 · Kshetra Kshetrajna Vibhaga Yoga

One Beneath the Many · Undivided at the Core

अविभक्तं च भूतेषु विभक्तमिव च स्थितम् । भूतभर्तृ च तज्ज्ञेयं ग्रसिष्णु प्रभविष्णु च ॥

avibhaktaṁ ca bhūteṣu vibhaktam iva ca sthitam bhūta-bhartṛ ca taj jñeyaṁ grasiṣṇu prabhaviṣṇu ca

Meaning

"Undivided, yet appearing as if divided among beings, that is to be known as the Sustainer, Devourer, and Creator of all beings."

Explanation

Even though we all appear as separate individuals, there's one undivided reality quietly holding everyone together beneath the surface. Our sense of separateness is real at one level, but not the deepest truth.

Today's Life Lesson

When someone feels very different from you today, remember there's an undivided reality quietly connecting you both underneath.
