Chapter 7 · Jnana Vijnana Yoga

Beyond Willpower · The Grace That Carries You Through

दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया । मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्ते मायामेतां तरन्ति ते ॥

daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te

Meaning

"This divine energy of Mine, made of the three modes of nature, is very difficult to overcome. But those who surrender unto Me alone cross beyond it."

Explanation

Some patterns and illusions feel too strong to break through willpower alone — and that's okay. Surrender here isn't giving up, it's trusting something bigger than your own effort to help carry you through.

Today's Life Lesson

If a habit or pattern feels too strong to break alone today, try surrendering it in trust rather than fighting it with sheer willpower.
