कामात्मानः स्वर्गपरा जन्मकर्मफलप्रदाम् । क्रियाविशेषबहुलां भोगैश्वर्यगतिं प्रति ।।43।।

kāmātmānaḥ svarga-parā janma-karma-phala-pradām kriyā-viśeṣa-bahulāṃ bhogaiśvarya-gatiṃ prati

Meaning

"Full of desires, aspiring for heaven, they teach elaborate rites that yield rebirth as the fruit of action, aimed at pleasure and prosperity."

Explanation

Krishna describes how desire-driven minds get lost in elaborate rituals aimed only at temporary pleasure and status.
