Chapter 2 · Sankhya Yoga

Beyond Cause and Effect · The Soul's True Nature

Meaning

"One who thinks the soul kills, and one who thinks it can be killed, both fail to understand. The soul neither kills nor is killed."

Explanation

Krishna clarifies a subtle but crucial point: the soul stands entirely beyond the categories of killing and being killed.

Today's Life Lesson

Try to see your true self as something no external event can ultimately touch or diminish.
