यथा सर्वगतं सौक्ष्म्यादाकाशं नोपलिप्यते । सर्वत्रावस्थितो देहे तथात्मा नोपलिप्यते ॥

yathā sarva-gataṁ saukṣmyād ākāśaṁ nopalipyate sarvatrāvasthito dehe tathātmā nopalipyate

Meaning

"As the all-pervading ether, being subtle, is not tainted, so the Self, though present everywhere in the body, is not tainted."

Explanation

The sky doesn't get dirty no matter what clouds pass through it. Your true self can hold space for difficult emotions the same way, without being permanently stained by them.
