Chapter 12 · Bhakti Yoga

Single-Minded Dedication · Turning Effort into Meditation

ॐ

ये तु सर्वाणि कर्माणि मयि संन्न्यस्य मत्पराः । अनन्येनैव योगेन मां ध्यायन्त उपासते ॥

ye tu sarvāṇi karmāṇi mayi sannyasya mat-parāḥ ananyenaiva yogena māṁ dhyāyanta upāsate

Meaning

"But those who dedicate all their actions to Me, regard Me as the supreme goal, and worship Me with single-minded meditation."

Explanation

Dedicating your actions to something greater doesn't require withdrawing from the world — it's a quality of intention you can bring to whatever you're already doing. That single-minded devotion turns ordinary effort into meditation.

Today's Life Lesson

Dedicate today's actions to something greater than yourself, and watch ordinary effort quietly become meditation.
