Chapter 8 · Akshara Brahma Yoga

Divine Presence · Within This Very Body

अधिभूतं क्षरो भावः पुरुषश्चाधिदैवतम् । अधियज्ञोऽहमेवात्र देहे देहभृतां वर ॥

adhibhūtaṁ kṣaro bhāvaḥ puruṣaś cādhidaivatam, adhiyajño'ham evātra dehe dehabhṛtāṁ vara.

Meaning

"O best of the embodied, the domain of the elements is the perishable nature; the divine domain is the cosmic Being; and I alone am the lord of sacrifice here in this body."

Explanation

Krishna quietly reveals that the divine presence isn't distant—it resides right within this very body, in every sincere act.

Today's Life Lesson

Treat your body and actions today as sacred ground, not separate from the divine you seek.
