Sharing First · Even Ordinary Meals Matter

यज्ञशिष्टाशिनः सन्तो मुच्यन्ते सर्वकिल्बिषैः । भुञ्जते ते त्वघं पापा ये पचन्त्यात्मकारणात् ।।13।।

yajña-śiṣṭāśinaḥ santo mucyante sarva-kilbiṣaiḥ bhuñjate te tv aghaṃ pāpā ye pacanty ātma-kāraṇāt

Meaning

"The virtuous who eat the remnants of sacrifice are freed from all sins, while those who cook only for themselves eat sin alone."

Explanation

Krishna contrasts selfless sharing with self-centered consumption, showing how intent shapes even ordinary acts like eating.

Today's Life Lesson

Try sharing something today before consuming it entirely for yourself, however small the gesture.
