Rise Again · Firm Encouragement from a Friend

क्लैब्यं मा स्म गमः पार्थ नैतत्त्वय्युपपद्यते । क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप ।।3।।

klaibyaṃ mā sma gamaḥ pārtha naitat tvayy upapadyate kṣudraṃ hṛdaya-daurbalyaṃ tyaktvottiṣṭha parantapa

Meaning

"O Partha, do not yield to this unmanliness; it does not befit you. Abandon this petty weakness of heart and arise, O scorcher of foes."

Explanation

Krishna urges Arjuna, with firm affection, to shake off his paralysis and reclaim his inner strength.
