Chapter 18 · Moksha Sanyasa Yoga

Simple, Repeated Wisdom · The Grip, Not the Doing

एतान्यपि तु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा फलानि च । कर्तव्यानीति मे पार्थ निश्चितं मतमुत्तमम् ॥

etāny api tu karmāṇi saṅgaṁ tyaktvā phalāni ca kartavyānīti me pārtha niścitaṁ matam uttamam

Meaning

"These duties should be performed giving up attachment and their fruits; this, O Partha, is My certain and supreme conclusion."

Explanation

Krishna's final word on the matter is simple: keep doing meaningful things, just loosen the grip. Simplicity, repeated with conviction, is often the most useful kind of wisdom.

Today's Life Lesson

Keep doing today's meaningful work — the growth comes from loosening your grip on the outcome, not from stopping.
