Chapter 18 · Moksha Sanyasa Yoga

Patient Analysis · Breaking Things Down to Understand

ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं परिज्ञाता त्रिविधा कर्मचोदना । करणं कर्म कर्तेति त्रिविधः कर्मसंग्रहः ॥

jñānaṁ jñeyaṁ parijñātā tri-vidhā karma-codanā karaṇaṁ karma karteti tri-vidhaḥ karma-saṅgrahaḥ

Meaning

"Knowledge, the known, and the knower are the threefold impetus to action; the instrument, the action, and the doer are the threefold constitution of action."

Explanation

This is a moment of careful analysis, breaking action down into its component parts. Sometimes understanding something deeply requires exactly this kind of patient, structural thinking.

Today's Life Lesson

If something feels confusing today, try breaking it into its basic parts — patient analysis often brings clarity faster than force.
