Nothing Is Isolated · The Causes Behind Everything

शरीरवाङ्मनोभिर्यत्कर्म प्रारभते नरः । न्याय्यं वा विपरीतं वा पञ्चैते तस्य हेतवः ॥

śarīra-vāṅ-manobhir yat karma prārabhate naraḥ nyāyyaṁ vā viparītaṁ vā pañcaite tasya hetavaḥ

Meaning

"Whatever action a person undertakes with body, speech, or mind, whether right or wrong, these five are its causes."

Explanation

Everything you do — even the small things said in passing or thought quietly — has these same underlying causes at work. Nothing you do is ever truly isolated or random.

Today's Life Lesson

Notice today that even your small words and thoughts aren't random — they arise from the same deeper causes as your bigger actions.
