Chapter 12 · Bhakti Yoga

Where the Mind Dwells · A Daily Choice

मय्येव मन आधत्स्व मयि बुद्धिं निवेशय । निवसिष्यसि मय्येव अत ऊर्ध्वं न संशयः ॥

mayy eva mana ādhatsva mayi buddhiṁ niveśaya nivasiṣyasi mayy eva ata ūrdhvaṁ na saṁśayaḥ

Meaning

"Fix your mind on Me alone, and let your intellect dwell in Me. Then you shall live in Me alone hereafter; of this there is no doubt."

Explanation

Where you consistently place your attention becomes, over time, where you actually live — inside anxious thoughts, or inside something steadier and larger. Choosing what to fix your mind on is one of the most powerful choices you make each day.

Today's Life Lesson

Choose today, again and again, to place your mind somewhere steady — it genuinely shapes where you end up living inside.
