Chapter 9 · Raja Vidya Raja Guhya Yoga

Easy and Joyful · The Highest Knowledge

राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । प्रत्यक्षावगमं धर्म्यं सुसुखं कर्तुमव्ययम् ॥

rāja-vidyā rāja-guhyaṁ pavitram idam uttamam pratyakṣāvagamaṁ dharmyaṁ su-sukhaṁ kartum avyayam

Meaning

"This is the king of knowledge, the king of secrets, the purest and highest, directly realizable, in accordance with dharma, easy to practice, and imperishable."

Explanation

Krishna is about to share something he calls the highest of all knowledge, and he's careful to note it isn't a burden to practice — it's easy, joyful even, and something you can verify for yourself rather than take purely on faith.
