Chapter 8 · Akshara Brahma Yoga

Cycles of Return · Another Chance to Grow

धूमो रात्रिस्तथा कृष्णः षण्मासा दक्षिणायनम् । तत्र चान्द्रमसं ज्योतिर्योगी प्राप्य निवर्तते ॥

dhūmo rātris tathā kṛṣṇaḥ ṣaṇmāsā dakṣiṇāyanam, tatra cāndramasaṁ jyotir yogī prāpya nivartate.

Meaning

"Smoke, night, the dark fortnight, and the six months of the sun's southward path—departing then, the yogi reaches the lunar light and returns."

Explanation

Not every good effort leads to the final destination immediately—some paths circle back, offering another chance to grow.

Today's Life Lesson

If today feels like a return to old patterns, treat it as another chance rather than a failure.
