Reassurance · Good Effort Is Never Lost

श्रीभगवानुवाच । पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते । न हि कल्याणकृत्कश्िचद्दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति ॥

śrī bhagavān uvāca. pārtha naiveha nāmutra vināśas tasya vidyate, na hi kalyāṇakṛt kaścid durgatiṁ tāta gacchati.

Meaning

"The Supreme Lord said: O Partha, neither in this world nor the next is there destruction for him; no one who does good, My dear one, ever comes to grief."

Explanation

Sincere effort toward good is never wasted, even if it doesn't finish exactly the way you planned.
