Chapter 6 · Dhyana Yoga

Meditation · Contentment Within

यत्रोपरमते चित्तं निरुद्धं योगसेवया । यत्र चैवात्मनाऽऽत्मानं पश्यन्नात्मनि तुष्यति ॥

yatroparamate cittaṁ niruddhaṁ yogasevayā, yatra caivātmanātmānaṁ paśyann ātmani tuṣyati.

Meaning

"When the mind, restrained by the practice of Yoga, becomes still, and when, seeing the Self by the self, one finds contentment in the Self alone."

Explanation

The deepest contentment isn't found outside—it's discovered when the mind finally grows quiet enough to see itself clearly.

Today's Life Lesson

Give yourself a still moment today where you're not looking for anything outside yourself—just resting.
