Chapter 6 · Dhyana Yoga

Meditation · Peace Through Consistency

युञ्जन्नेवं सदाऽऽत्मानं योगी नियतमानसः । शान्तिं निर्वाणपरमां मत्संस्थामधिगच्छति ॥

yuñjann evaṁ sadātmānaṁ yogī niyatamānasaḥ, śāntiṁ nirvāṇaparamāṁ matsaṁsthām adhigacchati.

Meaning

"Thus constantly engaging the mind in meditation, the yogi of disciplined mind attains the supreme peace that culminates in liberation and abides in Me."

Explanation

Consistency, not intensity, is what steadily carries a wandering mind toward lasting peace.
