Chapter 6 · Dhyana Yoga

Meditation · One-Pointed Mind

तत्रैकाग्रं मनः कृत्वा यतचित्तेन्द्रियक्रियः । उपविश्यासने युञ्ज्याद्योगमात्मविशुद्धये ॥

tatraikāgraṁ manaḥ kṛtvā yatacittendriyakriyaḥ, upaviśyāsane yuñjyād yogam ātmaviśuddhaye.

Meaning

"Sitting there, with mind one-pointed and senses and activities controlled, one should practice Yoga for the purification of the self."

Explanation

Purification here isn't ritual washing—it's the steady, patient work of gathering a scattered mind into one point.

Today's Life Lesson

When your attention scatters today, gently gather it back to one thing rather than chasing every distraction.
