Chapter 6 · Dhyana Yoga

Meditation · Making Space for Stillness

योगी युञ्जीत सततमात्मानं रहसि स्थितः । एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा निराशीरपरिग्रहः ॥

yogī yuñjīta satatam ātmānaṁ rahasi sthitaḥ, ekākī yatacittātmā nirāśīr aparigrahaḥ.

Meaning

"Let the yogi constantly engage the mind in meditation, remaining in solitude, alone, with mind and body controlled, free from desire and possessiveness."

Explanation

Regular, quiet time alone with a settled mind isn't escapism—it's how scattered attention learns to come home.
