Chapter 6 · Dhyana Yoga

Karma Yoga · The True Renunciate

Meaning

"The Supreme Lord said: One who performs their prescribed duty without depending on the results is a true renunciate and yogi—not one who has merely given up fire rituals or all activity."

Explanation

True renunciation isn't about giving up activity—it's about doing your duty wholeheartedly while releasing your grip on the outcome.

Today's Life Lesson

Show up fully for today's responsibilities—real freedom comes from how lightly you hold the outcome, not from avoiding the work.
