Chapter 5 · Karma Sanyasa Yoga

The Lotus Leaf · Engaged Yet Untouched

Meaning

"One who acts, offering all actions to the divine and abandoning attachment, is untouched by sin, just as a lotus leaf is untouched by water."

Explanation

The lotus leaf lives in muddy water yet stays clean — not by avoiding the mud, but by simply not letting it stick. You too can be fully engaged with a messy world without carrying all its residue.

Today's Life Lesson

Move through today's mess fully engaged, like a lotus leaf on water — present, but not letting it all stick to you.
