Illustration for Bhagavad Gita chapter 4 verse 11
Chapter 4 · Jnana Karma Sanyasa Yoga

Meeting You Where You Are · Every Sincere Path

ये यथा मां प्रपद्यन्ते तांस्तथैव भजाम्यहम् । मम वर्त्मानुवर्तन्ते मनुष्याः पार्थ सर्वशः ॥

ye yathā māṁ prapadyante tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmy aham mama vartmānuvartante manuṣyāḥ pārtha sarvaśaḥ

Meaning

"In whatever way people approach Me, I respond to them in that same way; everyone follows My path, in every way, O Partha."

Explanation

This verse is generous rather than exclusive — it doesn't demand one single approach to the divine. Whatever sincere path someone takes toward truth, it meets them there, matching their own intention back to them.

Today's Life Lesson

Whatever sincere way you reach out today — in prayer, effort, or intention — trust that it's received in kind.
