Two Valid Paths · Different Roads, Same Destination

श्रीभगवानुवाच । लोकेऽस्मिन्द्विविधा निष्ठा पुरा प्रोक्ता मयानघ । ज्ञानयोगेन साङ्ख्यानां कर्मयोगेन योगिनाम् ।।3।।

śrī bhagavān uvāca loke 'smin dvi-vidhā niṣṭhā purā proktā mayānagha jñāna-yogena sāṅkhyānāṃ karma-yogena yoginām

Meaning

"The Supreme Lord said: O sinless one, I have already explained two paths in this world — the path of knowledge for contemplatives, and the path of action for practitioners of yoga."

Explanation

Krishna clarifies that both paths he described are legitimate, suited to different temperaments.
