तत्त्ववित्तु महाबाहो गुणकर्मविभागयोः । गुणा गुणेषु वर्तन्त इति मत्वा न सज्जते ।।28।।

tattva-vit tu mahā-bāho guṇa-karma-vibhāgayoḥ guṇā guṇeṣu vartanta iti matvā na sajjate

Meaning

"O mighty-armed one, the knower of truth understands the distinction between the soul and the modes and their actions, and, seeing that the modes merely interact among themselves, does not become attached."

Explanation

Krishna reveals a subtle insight: much of what feels like personal action is really nature's forces interacting with themselves.
