The Cost of a Scattered Mind · No Shortcut to Peace

नास्ति बुद्धिरयुक्तस्य न चायुक्तस्य भावना । न चाभावयतः शान्तिरशान्तस्य कुतः सुखम् ।।66।।

nāsti buddhir ayuktasya na cāyuktasya bhāvanā na cābhāvayataḥ śāntir aśāntasya kutaḥ sukham

Meaning

"The undisciplined have neither steady wisdom nor focused contemplation. Without contemplation there is no peace, and without peace, how can there be happiness?"

Explanation

Krishna warns of the opposite path — a scattered, undisciplined mind that can never find true happiness.
