True Wisdom · Beyond Clever Words

श्रीभगवानुवाच । अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे । गतासूनगतासूंश्च नानुशोचन्ति पण्डिताः ॥

śrī-bhagavān uvāca aśocyān anvaśocas tvaṁ prajñā-vādāṁś ca bhāṣase gatāsūn agatāsūṁś ca nānuśocanti paṇḍitāḥ

Meaning

"The Supreme Lord said: While speaking learned words, you grieve for what is not worthy of grief. The wise mourn neither for the living nor for the dead."

Explanation

Krishna's teaching begins gently but firmly — sometimes what looks like wisdom is really grief dressed in clever words. Real understanding calms us; it doesn't just make our sadness sound sophisticated.

Today's Life Lesson

Notice today if you're intellectualizing a feeling instead of actually sitting with it — real clarity feels calm, not just articulate.
