Chapter 18 · Moksha Sanyasa Yoga

Listening Sincerely Is Enough · No Need to Master Everything

श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च शृणुयादपि यो नरः । सोऽपि मुक्तः शुभाँल्लोकान्प्राप्नुयात्पुण्यकर्मणाम् ॥

śraddhāvān anasūyaś ca śṛṇuyād api yo naraḥ so 'pi muktaḥ śubhāṁl lokān prāpnuyāt puṇya-karmaṇām

Meaning

"Even one who merely listens with faith and without envy is freed, and attains the auspicious worlds of those who act righteously."

Explanation

Even just listening with an open, generous heart is described as enough to matter — you don't have to master everything to benefit from encountering it sincerely.

Today's Life Lesson

If you've only listened to today's wisdom without fully mastering it, that sincere openness still genuinely counts.
