Chapter 18 · Moksha Sanyasa Yoga

Work as Worship · The Task in Front of You

यतः प्रवृत्तिर्भूतानां येन सर्वमिदं ततम् । स्वकर्मणा तमभ्यर्च्य सिद्धिं विन्दति मानवः ॥

yataḥ pravṛttir bhūtānāṁ yena sarvam idaṁ tatam sva-karmaṇā tam abhyarcya siddhiṁ vindati mānavaḥ

Meaning

"By worshiping, through one's own natural work, the source from whom all beings arise and by whom this entire universe is pervaded, a person attains perfection."

Explanation

Your everyday work, done well and offered sincerely, can itself become a form of worship — you don't need a separate ritual to connect with something sacred. The task in front of you right now can be the practice.

Today's Life Lesson

Do today's ordinary work as if it were an offering — no separate ritual needed, the task itself can be the practice.
