Chapter 18 · Moksha Sanyasa Yoga

One Thread Through Many Forms · True Clarity

सर्वभूतेषु येनैकं भावमव्ययमीक्षते । अविभक्तं विभक्तेषु तज्ज्ञानं विद्धि सात्त्विकम् ॥

sarva-bhūteṣu yenaikaṁ bhāvam avyayam īkṣate avibhaktaṁ vibhakteṣu taj jñānaṁ viddhi sāttvikam

Meaning

"Know that knowledge to be sattvic by which one sees a single imperishable reality in all beings, undivided within the divided."

Explanation

Real clarity, this verse suggests, isn't about categorizing people and things into ever-finer separate boxes — it's about noticing the one undivided thread running through all the apparent divisions.

Today's Life Lesson

As you meet different people today, look for the one undivided thread connecting you both rather than focusing only on the differences.
