Chapter 16 · Daivasura Sampad Vibhaga Yoga

Unchecked Distortion · Small Errors, Real Harm

एतां दृष्टिमवष्टभ्य नष्टात्मानोऽल्पबुद्धयः । प्रभवन्त्युग्रकर्माणः क्षयाय जगतोऽहिताः ॥

etāṁ dṛṣṭim avaṣṭabhya naṣṭātmāno 'lpa-buddhayaḥ prabhavanty ugra-karmāṇaḥ kṣayāya jagato 'hitāḥ

Meaning

"Holding on to this view, these lost souls of little intelligence, engaged in cruel deeds, arise as enemies of the world, bent on its destruction."

Explanation

This is a sober warning about where a distorted worldview can lead if left unchecked — small errors in perspective can eventually grow into real harm.

Today's Life Lesson

If you notice a distorted belief taking root in you today, gently question it before it grows into something harmful.
