Chapter 15 · Purushottama Yoga

Knowing and Loving as One · Understanding Leads to Devotion

यो मामेवमसम्मूढो जानाति पुरुषोत्तमम् । स सर्वविद्भजति मां सर्वभावेन भारत ॥

yo mām evam asammūḍho jānāti puruṣottamam sa sarva-vid bhajati māṁ sarva-bhāvena bhārata

Meaning

"One who, undeluded, knows Me thus as the Supreme Person, knows everything and worships Me with their whole being, O Bharata."

Explanation

This closing verse of the chapter suggests that clear-sighted understanding naturally leads to wholehearted devotion — the two aren't separate paths but flow into one another. Knowing deeply and loving fully turn out to be the same movement of the heart.

Today's Life Lesson

Let today's understanding of something deeper naturally soften into devotion — knowing and loving aren't really separate.
