Chapter 12 · Bhakti Yoga

The Last Rung · There's Always a Smaller Step

अथैतदप्यशक्तोऽसि कर्तुं मद्योगमाश्रितः । सर्वकर्मफलत्यागं ततः कुरु यतात्मवान् ॥

athaitad apy aśakto 'si kartuṁ mad-yogam āśritaḥ sarva-karma-phala-tyāgaṁ tataḥ kuru yatātmavān

Meaning

"If you are unable to do even this, then taking refuge in Me, renounce the fruits of all action, with the self well controlled."

Explanation

This is the last rung of a gentle ladder Krishna offers — there's always a next small step available, even when the ideal feels out of reach.

Today's Life Lesson

If every other approach feels too hard today, just let go of your grip on the outcome — that alone is real progress.
