Holding Your Own Standard · Others' Blindness Isn't an Excuse

यद्यप्येते न पश्यन्ति लोभोपहतचेतसः । कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं मित्रद्रोहे च पातकम् ।।38।।

yady apy ete na paśyanti lobhopahata-cetasaḥ kula-kṣaya-kṛtaṃ doṣaṃ mitra-drohe ca pātakam

Meaning

"Even if these men, their minds overpowered by greed, see no fault in destroying the family or sin in betraying friends."

Explanation

Arjuna acknowledges that the other side may be blinded by greed, but insists this shouldn't blind him too.
